Fantastic food and its gluten free!

Whether you are gluten free, vegan or are just looking for something fresh and creative the Balanced Kitchen should be your next stop. This eco-friendly joint is pioneering a new generation of healthy food without the feeling that you are heading to woodstock or having to smell patouli oil. The wait staff and owners make you feel at home. We stayed 30 minutes longer than planned just to chat about food, cooking and chicago.

Deliciously creative cooking

We ate here on a Saturday at lunchtime for their prix fixe meal. The chefs use a lot of creativity in preparing seasonal, and whenever possible, locally grown food. Everything was delicious and attractively served, and although we aren't vegans we did not miss anything the menu is "free" of. Service is prompt and informative. The atmosphere is bright but relaxing at the same time.

Vegan, wheat free, and delicious

The first thing you notice when you walk in is how chean everything is. This is not a "hippi joint" It is clean, fresh, brightly lit and pleasant. The staff is friendly and most important the food is great. I really like this place and I will make sure to visit again and again
