Great fun shop for kid gear. The perfect place if you need a quick birthday present that's not mass-merch/Target stuff... and they'll wrap for you! Nice selection, not super expensive, with lovely, helpful owners who actually seem to like kids. (Which not all kid store people do... visit Grow if you don't know what I mean). This place feels more about useful gear and toys than clothing, which is nice. The clothes are cute, and clearly quality, but more than I typically spend on my little stainmasters' wardrobes. If I were going to buy a $20 t-shirt for a six month old, this is where I'd do it. Guess that would also make it a great place to buy a baby gift, now that I think about it.

OMG, this store is so cute! A friend of mine told me that she had been here and she said I would love this place, so I went to check it out over the weekend and she was right. Bullfrogs & Butterflies is on Division St. just past Damen and definitely stands out in the trendy Wicker Park neighborhood. They have an amazing train that goes around the top of the store that fascinated my husband as much as it did our 21/2 year old son. I was able to shop easily without having to worry about him breaking anything, as they had a great area for him to play and draw. The selection of merchandise and brands is great. They had a wide range of products from adorable clothing, practical everyday items, toys, books, strollers, and much more. This store really is the coolest children's boutique I've been in, and we will definitely be back again soon.
Pros: Super cute store, with great brands and unique items at the right prices!
Cons: My 2 1/2 yr old son did not want to leave!

I loved it; I have three kids 4month old, 5 year old and 6 year old... I found gifts, toys, clothes, books, puzzles for each of them. The furniture that I saw there was made hand made of solid teak, very nice finish. The merchandise that I found there was so unique that it just does not compare to any large mall stores. This is really a store concentrating on quality of their products.
Pros: Everything, Clothing, Toys, Books!!!
Cons: none

So I was walking in the area shopping for christmas (There is a great little reastaurant two shops over from here) and I saw a very beautiful store with baby clothes. I walked in, and the furniture/decor was beautiful. There is a corner for kids to play with toys, and there is a really cool train that circles the whole store, which the kids love. This place had everything. My sisters both had kids this year, and I hated the product selection at the other kids stores. The store owners, Kristen and Harish, were extremely helpful. I ended up buying children's books, a stuffed animal, piggy bank, the cutest jacket (shaped like a bear), and a puppet. I then bought some lotion for myself because my hands were dry and the lotion smelled great. All in all, the owners were so nice and helpful, but most importantly their products are not cookie-cut, run of the mill baby gifts. they were unique, and the prices were extremely reasonable. I am telling all of my friends that have to buy baby shower gifts to come to this store; it has cute gifts at a good price
Pros: the products are unique
Cons: you cant buy everything!
