Great Wrigley bar

It's really laughable that that guy even thought that he would find a "special" on a Cubs game day in Wrigleyville. From the suburbs maybe? Just a hint so you don't make a total fool out of yourself in the future: there are no specials on anything in Wrigleyville on game days, ever, anywhere. I love this place. Drink prices are comparable to every bar in that area and they do have really good specials on non-game days. The food prices are comparable to the area as well even though it is way better quality and they could charge more. It's really beautifully decorated and clean! Most bars in Wrigley are just so dingy and old. It's nice to have a classy place in the area. Service is very friendly as well. I've been back many times and will continue to frequent.
Best in Wrigleyville

I don't know what the other reviews are talking about. Harry Caray's Tavern in Wrigleyville is easily one of the best bars in the neighborhood. First, they have great food. The menu extends far beyond your typical bar selection. They have the Holy Cow burger bar where you can customize everything about your burger including the type of meat (or a veggie burger if you prefer), cheese, sauce, and bun. The drink prices are comparable to other places in the area. They have an excellent selection of beer, wine, cocktails and liquors. I have always had great service from both the cocktail waitresses and bartenders. There are plenty of TVs so there is no bad seat in the house. There is also a great buffet on Sunday mornings for football games! What better way to cure a Saturday night hangover than with football, a build-your-own omelet station, and a great Bloody Mary. Definitely a place worth checking out.
- Pros: great menu, great service, great atmosphere

If you're the kind of person who doesn't mind spending $5.00 on a Miller Light and a whole lot more money on the same kind of food you can get across the street at the 711 convenience store, than this is the place for you! Not only are the bartenders sloppily drunk to the point to where they need to struggle to open your bottle of beer, they?ll also charge you four times the price of your original tab at the end of the night! However, if you are the kind of person who expects what they pay for, classy folks and friendly reliable service, you?ll find none of that here!
- Pros: Outside seating
- Cons: Bartenders were drunk, poor service and quality
The legacy of the beloved Cubs' announcer lives on just a pitch away from Wrigley Field.

In Short
It's fitting that Harry Caray's Restaurant Group chose the Cubs home opener (2008) as its first day of service. The decor blends a lively sports bar atmosphere with the look of a classic tavern with a mosaic tile floor, pressed tin ceiling and lots of TVs for keeping score. Museum-quality baseball memorabilia and other artifacts plaster the walls, while people watching turns outdoors, where a patio enables gawking at the rowdy fans.
