Great Selection & Ingredients!
by parsleyaol
I couldn't wait to visit Freshii when I first read about it and it did not let me down at all! I love creating my own salads with a mix of ingredients, so this place was heaven for me. They had a wide variety of options to choose from and it was all very Freshii (sorry, I couldn't resist :) )! The staff was very friendly and fast, which is a big plus when you're on your lunch hour. I also have to disagree with that negative review. My experience was nothing short of fantastic and I'll be sure to come back for the Yoggii!
- Pros: Variety of ingredients
- Cons: There aren't enough in the city yet :)
MMMMMMM...FRESHII
by CityReviewer1
When I was hungry, I used to grab the closest thing in sight...a stale bag of chips or a rogue candy bar. But now I can forego the candy ? and the guilt and head to Freshii. Like creating the perfect outfit, the menu at Freshii consists of head to toe choices and deems them either ?24/7? (super healthy), ?balanced? (good fats and proteins) or ?splurge? (so tasty it?s only allowed in moderation). Each choice, ranging from breakfast to dinner fare, lists exact calories and nutritional information to help move customers through the meal designing process. Gawd bless you Freshii!
- Pros: Delicious and I have control over what flavors I want to incorporate
- Cons: first time you order is a bit confusing
A breath of FRESHII air!

Re: above review: I think it is so unfair for someone to go to a restaurant on OPENING DAY and then write a bad review. I have been there 3 times since it opened last week and have great experiences every time. The menu is full of healthy options (a welcomed change) and the staff has been very accommodating. My Yoggi with bananas, honey and granola was the perfect accessory for yesterday?s sunny day. I would hope that people (especially those with discerning taste who read Daily Candy) would welcome an innovative concept and give them the benefit of the doubt on OPENING DAY.
- Pros: The healthy salads, soups and snacks available
- Cons: Closed on weekends
Giving Healthy Food a Bad Name

10/14: Based on the harsh reaction to my 1st review, I chalked it up to OPENING DAY & decided to go back. I was skeptical given what happened the 1st time, but my friend wanted to try it, so I went again with an OPEN mind.
The line was quicker, but the food was still horrible. My friend got a rice bowl & I got a salad. Neither of us are picky, but we couldn't even stomach what we got. She, too, was unpleasantly surprised with the cold veggies mixed into her warm rice. My salad was so tart that I couldn't eat it without puckering my mouth. The sundried tomato dressing was harsh & the sundried tomatoes in my salad were unbearably tart & leathery, which my friend confirmed.
Both of us were incredibly disappointed - each of our dishes + drink was ~$10 & it was inedible. The long line I experienced the 1st time around was attributable to OPENING DAY, but the horrible food clearly wasn't a matter of OPENING DAY since they've been open for months now. Save your $ & go elsewhere!

6/16: I love healthy food & was really excited to eat at Freshii after hearing about it on Daily Candy, but Freshii confirmed the misconception that healthy food tastes bad. I spent 30-40 mins waiting in line. Maybe it was b/c they just opened or b/c they were featured in Daily Candy, but a fast food place should NEVER take that long. I ordered a rice bowl with roasted potatoes that were COLD (not room temp., but COLD) & they seemed drenched in water. Whenever I took a bite, cold water surged out of each piece as if they were frozen (not "freshii") & not entirely defrosted. The sundried tomatoes were also rough & chewy, as if they hadn't soaked in water long enough to soften after being sundried. The teriyaki sauce was incredibly salty & the "grilled" tofu was more like raw tofu cut into cold, little squares. Nothing about my meal was salvagable, and at $10+ for the meal (+ drink) & close to an hour of my time, I should've been able to get a few good bites in.
- Pros: Effort in trying to get Americans to eat healthy
- Cons: Horrible food, poor value for the $
