Fun, Fantasy & Food
by Rudydog
It has an eclectic ambiance, terrific house wine and innovative and tasty dishes. Dining inside or out gives one a felling of Europe. The outdoor grill was another clever novelty. It's obvious owners have given this thought and personality.
- Pros: Atmosphere, bread & butter, wine and meal
- Cons: Parking is questionable
Great food and a fantastic wine collection

I LOVE Cajun cooking and this place nailed it! They have an extensive wine list, and if you're into it, wine tastings. I'm not the wine person, but wife is and she was impressed and looking forward to participating in the tastings.
Also, if they have it on the menu, you have to try the Bisque!! It was wonderful. I wish they had it all the time.
- Pros: Great Cajun food and extensive Wine selection
- Cons: A little out of the way for us
Fun, Tasty, and Friendly

Outstanding food with a wonderful wine tasting experience on Friday night. Hostess is gracious, friendly, and engaging with diners. Chef visited my table to answer a question and wait staff was attentive and pleasant. Definitely will return - especially to experience music in the Cellar.
- Pros: Location, Winery/Dining/Music
- Cons: A bit pricey, but well worth it.
Not worth the money

No one greeted our party. We had to ask a rude waiter if we could be seated. Menu was very limited and overpriced. Small portions for the price. Cool atmosphere, but the staff could have been more polite and less robotic. Definitely not recommended for the 20 somethings crowd; it's more for the older individuals.
- Pros: nice looking atmosphere
- Cons: price for the portion, robotic staff, no host or greeter, unfriendly
Great Atmosphere, Great Food

I heard from some co workers that this restaurant was really good, so I had to try it. The atmosphere is really fun, with the walls all painted like New Orleans Mardi Gras and the private booths. We had the scallop appetizer, which was some of THE BEST scallops I have ever had. For dinner I had the steak, again.. DELICIOUS! My date also enjoyed his dinner. I can't wait to go back!
A Creole-inflected Italian steakhouse in west suburban Forest Park.

In Short
There's a warm, inviting feel at this charming, wood-trimmed restaurant along Forest Park's restaurant row. Inside, distressed walls outfitted with mock windows and an upper-tier railing mimic the look of a streetscape in the French Quarter, complete with painted, masked onlookers. The menu follows suit, dishing up a blend of Italian-kissed Creole dishes that include shrimp bisque, shrimp remoulade, risotto jambalaya and garlicky broiled chicken. Italian steak and seafood selections emphasize seasonal ingredients. A handful of private, curtained-off leather booths set the tone for romantics, who can choose to nosh on any (or all) of the seven oyster preparations.
